These Mitsubishi pencils have a vermilion (also recognized as traditional Japanese red-orange) lead that has been used for corrections and checking answers on an exam answer sheet.

You can use it as a substitute for a highlighter pen. It does not conceal the information underneath as long as you do not draw it thickly. Furthermore, unlike highlighters and markers, the paper will not bleed through.
